All sorts of “weird” and wonderful.
My journey with blogging started 3 years ago. After a break up, and while in the process of moving to another city, I started my mental health blog. It was centred around my new diagnosis of Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), Major Depressive Disorder, and Anxiety. This blog helped me through a lot of dark times during those years. And it wasn’t just the process of writing and getting my thoughts and feelings out there that made a difference. When I first started my blog I had no idea that anyone else would read it. But as I started posting more and more, people started following and commenting. I realized that my blog wasn’t only helpful for me, but to others as well, and I found myself part of a wonderful community of fellow mental health bloggers.
Now, I feel as though I have grown beyond that blog. A lot has changed. I have changed. And it feels like it’s time to start a new chapter. One where I finally feel I’m getting to know who I really am and can explore all those things that make me me. Perhaps the biggest factor in starting this new blog comes from finding out that I’m on the Autism Spectrum (Asperger’s). That came as a shock. But it also brought a sense of relief. I’ll be exploring this more in my posts, along with my thoughts, opinions, and feelings regarding ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), mental health and illness, and life in general.
I hope you’ll join me on this journey.
